Democratic Party State Delegates Say Andrew Rodriguez is the "Right Person for the Assembly"

Walnut, CA – Only two weeks after announcing his campaign for the 2020 State Assembly race in District 55, Andrew Rodriguez announces that his list of endorsements has grown to include the majority of the California Democratic Party delegates in the 55th Assembly District. Among the growing list of delegates that have committed to supporting Walnut Mayor Pro Tem Andrew Rodriguez includes Mario Alfaro, Sanobar Baig, Cindy Chen, Linda Fini, Anne Gaffney, Jim Gallagher, Bill Rawlings, and Priya Shah.

"Andrew is the face of the future, the new California Democratic Party," said AD 55 Elected Executive Board Member Dena Anderson-Peoples.

“It’s always been my top priority to put the needs of my community and residents first. I am proud to have the support of these remarkable and dedicated individuals who work every day to ensure that our democracy continues to provide the best results for our district. I will continue to work with all of these community members in the coming year and look forward to learning more about their experiences in the 55th District so I can better serve the people in Sacramento,” said Mayor Pro Tempore Andrew Rodriguez.

Andrew Rodriguez is a lifelong resident of the City of Walnut and currently serves on the Walnut City Council as Mayor Pro Tempore. When elected, Andrew was the youngest elected councilman in Los Angeles County.  Born and raised in Walnut, Andrew attended public schools before graduating from Rutgers University in New Jersey Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and a Minor in Planning and Public Policy. He’s now pursuing a master’s degree at the University of Southern California and works for a land use firm in the San Gabriel Valley.
