Painters and Allied Trades District Council 36 Endorses Andrew Rodriguez for Assembly District 55
Walnut, CA – Walnut Mayor Pro Tem Andrew Rodriguez secures the support of a local trade union for the State Assembly race in District 55. The International Union of Painters and Allied Trades (IUPAT) District Council 36 endorses Andrew, saying he is the best candidate to represent the interests of working families in California.
“Andrew understands the struggle that working and middle-class families have seeking more employment opportunities, standardized worker safety protocols, and benefits,” said Stephanie Robles, Government Affairs Representative for IUPAT, District Council 36. “Andrew will be an outstanding advocate, ensuring that these people are protected throughout the state.”
The International Union of Painters and Allied Trades (IUPAT), organized in the 19th century, and today represents more than 11,000 active and retired workers throughout Southern California including painters, drywall finishers, glaziers, floor layers, and tradeshow and sign craft workers. As an influential affiliate of the Building and Construction Trades, IUPAT focuses on improving wages, increasing benefits, providing essential services to its members, and promoting collective bargaining agreements.
